How to get to Cala Ratjada

Cala Ratjada is located in the east of Mallorca, about 75 minutes from Palma de Mallorca. You can get to Mallorca by plane or, if you prefer to travel by car, by ferry from Barcelona, Valencia or Toulon.

By plane

Cala Ratjada is about 75 minutes from Palma de Mallorca Airport (IATA: PMI). It is the third busiest airport in Spain based on the volume of passengers handled. More than 170,000 flights and around 22 million passengers are handled annually.

On the upper floor of the airport is the check-in hall with many different national and international airlines. After passing through security, you can while away the waiting time in the many shops and restaurants. However, the prices here are relatively high and not as wallet-friendly as in the different parts of the island of Mallorca.

The arrivals hall is located in the lower part of the airport. There are also several elevators that go to the upper area, which also leads to the parking garage.

If you decide to take the ferry, you will arrive at the port of Palma or the port of Alcudia. Alcudia is about 30-40 minutes from Cala Ratjada.

There are several rental car offices near the port where you can rent a car. Or would you rather have a rental car with a chauffeur who will pick you up when you come off the ferry from Menorca, for example? Feel free to contact us without obligation.

You can also take the public bus to Cala Ratjada, for this you take bus line 1, which takes you directly from the airport to Plaza de España, the bus station of Palma de Mallorca. From the bus station you can take line 411 to Cala Ratjada.

When you arrive at Palma de Mallorca Airport, head towards the exit of the arrivals hall, this is where the taxi rank is located. A taxi from the airport to Cala Ratjada costs around €120. In the high season it can happen that long queues form and you sometimes have to reckon with waiting times of up to an hour. We therefore recommend a private transfer through us to reserve, the advantage is not only the lower price, you will also be personally received by the taxi driver at the meeting point (meeting point) and do not have to wait for your taxi; the driver is waiting for you.
